I will never claim to be a true green thumb. The real bottom line is that I am a crummy water-er. I always forget. When I do water, I often end up flooding one area and drying out another because I will forget to move the sprinkler. Often I return to my home one day to find a fried lawn or whithered flowers! Luckily, I have learned to be a fairly good flora nurse. I am ok at getting my greenery and colors back to health. My problems may have been answered though! Even though there are only 3 or 4 dry months of the year where we live now, I have found a product to help me evenly water my yard when it needs it! It’s called an Orbit Traveling Sprinkler (available at Home Depot), and I am glad WickedHubby demanded that we get one. The sprinkler sprays water 360 degrees while it travels along the hose, in whatever pattern you lay out for it, until it reaches its own ramp and automatically shuts off! It’s pretty stinking awesome. I just turn it on, and it goes for it! We do need to have lots of hose, but we already had enough to reach across the lawn anyway! The spray is wide enough that I can water my garden and my yard at the same time, and have it wind across the entire yard back to the house! I just go out a while later and shut it off. I don’t have to run outside anymore to dodge the water and move the sprinkler! No more getting wet! With WickedGirl already stealing a lot of my attention, and WickedBoy coming soon to further complicate things, I am glad to have products like this one that can just do the job for me! I am excited to see my yard starting to re-green. Why work harder?!
