When WickedGirl was first introduced to the world (June 2008), I was obsessed with having every piece of paperwork possible. I wanted everything documented, photographed, and listed. I tracked EVERYTHING. With WickedBoy things are very different. I keep all documentation from medical professionals, take as many photos as possible, and try to mentally note things so that I can write them down later. Time just isn’t on my side. Anyhow, one of the things that I bought when I was on my “get ready” paperwork for WG was a magnetic pad to place on the refrigerator for emergency information (Real Simple made it. Of course.). I still have the pad. For the $10 I probably spent on it, I probably could have done without. Instead of you buying it, make my day. Copy and paste the “slots” into a word document and fill it in for yourself. Then post it on your fridge for sitters… If even 5 people do this, I feel as though my purchase was not in vein. I added a couple (*) that I have found useful. Copy and repaste the “child” section for each of your kids :).

Special instructions can include where to throw away used diapers, what to do if the phone rings, rituals for bathing/bedtime, or anything else you can think of that they may need to know. Those are the actual three things that I didn’t have written down that my sitter had questions about BTW.

Good luck! Let me know if you did this so that I know that my purchase was made worth it!
