Sometimes I watch my dog and wish that life was just that simple. He seriously has the life. Then I realized that his life is natural. God meant for it to be the way that it is: uncluttered by the unnecessary. Humans don’t get that. We fill our lives with mayhem and foolishness that ultimately does nothing but cause us stress. I’m trying to declutter my house (which will be a forever project), but now I’ve also decided to declutter my life in general. I’ve joined a gym to shed the pounds. I got a chiropractor to take care of my nerves and spine. I am resting better, and attempting to eat better (long way to go). Back to the basics. Today when we were riding in the car, the dog had his muzzle pointed at the ac and was just smiling away. He was catching what little breeze he could. I rolled down the window for him. It made his whole day. He smiled from ear to ear, put his ears back on his head in a relaxed way, and smelled everything as the world whizzed by his window. Sometimes… Sometimes we just have to listen to what our bodies, our world, and our hearts are telling us. That’s how I believe God speaks. We should declutter and listen. Here’s a picture of Barkley enjoying his day for Fauxto Friday. Now go roll down your own window, clear out the cobwebs, and relax :).
