Happy Fourth of July from the Wickeds! We are a military family, so this holiday means a lot to us. Remember as you celebrate and launch your quasi-legal fireworks that this holiday is a reminder that freedom isn’t free. Many lives are lost in maintaining the freedoms and independence that we enjoy in the United States. We do, however, have a nearly 100% volunteer military, and for that we should be grateful. As spouses, we second our significant other’s choice and stand by their decision to serve. We support them by keeping operations going on the home-front. One of the groups that does not go recognized often enough are the children of the military members all over the world. Sometimes not having a parent around can be a big sacrifice. The spouses and families try to cover the difference, but sometimes those are big boots to fill. Here are my two kiddos filling the boots as best they can :). Happy Fourth to all of you!!
