One of the things that I promised myself as I turned 30, was to learn to cook. I am not generally a foodie, much to the shagrin of the hubs. In fact, I generally don’t even know that I am hungry until the last second when I say am ravenous and eat something out of convenience. This doesn’t leave much time for cooking. It makes for a lot of unhealthy choices actually. I’m not proud of it, but I have had a few dinners that were a bag of popcorn and a Pepsi in my lifetime. Anyhow, as I try to change this, I started my Tasty Tuesday articles. In pursuit of culinary prowess, I do need to give myself a break sometimes though. I need to make something that is easy, tasty, and a little more fantastical than I thought I could manage. For that reason, I made Chocolate Dipped Strawberries on 3/9/2011 (my 1st monthaversary as a 30 yr old). They came out YUMMY and GORGEOUS. How’d I do it? I got one of the Baker’s Dipping Chocolate tubs from my local grocer along with a tub of strawberries. Then, I followed the directions on the container. 30 seconds in the microwave, then 45, stir, dip, place on parchment paper on a clean plate, refrigerate for 10 minutes, eat like a savage. Wha’la! Now here are some pictures. PS: Girl made 2 of these, and enjoyed helping me eat the excess. Woo hoo!
